Class Descriptions

Chair Yoga

Chair yoga is designed for seniors, those with limited mobility, or anyone seeking a gentle practice from a seated or standing position using a chair for stability. This class is offered at the Litchfield Community Center.

Slow Flow

Active, yet unhurried, Slow Flow offers more time to pause, align, settle, and draw attention inward. Focus is placed on relieving unnecessary tension and inviting a sense of calm and balance.  This class is suitable for beginners and all levels.

Heated Vinyasa

Heated Vinyasa focuses on building strength, flexibility and balance; both mentally and physically.  It features a set sequence allowing students to become familiar with the poses, deepen their practice, and track their progress over time.  The room is heated to approximately 90-94 degrees encouraging detoxification through sweat. A cool lavender towel provides sweet relief during Savasana.

Yin

A slow, meditative practice designed to allow gravity to do the work.  Yin targets deep connective tissue and is the perfect counterbalance to fast-paced lifestyles.  Much like a moving mediation, this practice encourages tuning inward, regulating the breath, finding clarity and developing mental resilience.

Mindful Meditation

A 30 minute dedicated practice of returning attention to the present moment by utilizing the breath, This practice is known to reduce chronic and acute stress, enhance focus, promote emotional regulation, and encourage higher quality sleep.  This is a free community offering.  Donations are helpful and appreciated but not necessary.

Kids Yoga

A fun and casual introduction to yoga for kids. Focused on developing strength, flexibility, balance, coordination and mindfulness by incorporating games and fun activities.
